About East West Veterinary Care
Uniting Eastern & Western Veterinary Medicine
East West Veterinary Care is a full-service, mobile equine veterinary practice based in Canton, Georgia. We provide optimal horse health through an integrated approach of holistic, Eastern veterinary methods and modern Western veterinary medicine.
The Very Best Medical Care for Your Horse
The practice was established in 2017 by Dr. Amanda Cerniglia and her husband and partner, Nick Cerniglia. East West Veterinary Care understands how important horses are in your lives. Whether you compete, show them, breed them or just love on them, our staff is here to give them the very best medical care possible and to create a positive client experience.
Medical Philosophy of East West Veterinary Care
East West Veterinary Care unites both advanced Western scientific and holistic Eastern medicine in one integrative veterinary practice where the best possibilities of both worlds can benefit the patient.
When you look at the patient from a more holistic perspective that considers body, spirit and energy, you get better results. Dr. Cerniglia uses all forms of equine health care, from modern Western diagnostic tools and medications to alternative Eastern therapies and remedies, to treat the patient. No other equine veterinary practice in this area utilizes this approach to ensure your horse’s health and well-being.
Equine Chiropractor Certified & Licensed by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association
Equine chiropractic care is one of the services our practice is well-known for. And one of the main reasons we offer chiropractic care is that horses show positive results almost immediately after an adjustment – without the use of drugs or surgery.
Dr. Cerniglia is certified and licensed as a veterinary chiropractor by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA). The IVCA is an international, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in the field of veterinary chiropractic.
To stay current on the latest adjusting techniques, and to keep her certification and license up-to-date with the IVCA, Dr. Cerniglia invests many hours each year in continuing education courses.
